PwC’s 29th Global CEO Survey: Leading through uncertainty in the age of AI

PricewaterhouseCoopers, January 2026

Based on 4,454 CEOs across 95 countries, the survey reveals a paradox: short‑term confidence is at a five‑year low – only 30% of CEOs are “very” or “extremely” confident in their revenue growth over the next 12 months. Yet leaders are not standing still. They are accelerating long‑term transformation, driven by AI, innovation, and cross‑industry expansion.

AI remains central but early returns are mixed: (1) 56% of CEOs saw neither revenue growth nor cost savings from AI in the past year. However, a clear divide is emerging. “Winners” – those gaining both revenue and cost benefits – are scaling AI across products, services, and decision‑making, and have robust governance frameworks in place. (2) The top concern for 42% of CEOs is whether their company is transforming fast enough.  (3) To navigate uncertainty, CEOs are prioritizing three actions: embedding innovation deeply (only 8% have fully done so), expanding into new industries (42% have done so in the past five years), and investing in talent.

Newfoundland’s South Coast at a Turning Point: An Economic Snapshot of Division 3

Atlantic Economic Council,  November 2025

Commissioned by the Newfoundland and Labrador Aquaculture Industry Association and Mining Industry NL, this report provides decision-makers with an objective overview of Division No. 3, a region along the south coast where fishing, aquaculture, and mineral resources drive local economies. Major renewable energy projects are also emerging. With a potential National Marine Conservation Area under consideration following a 2023 agreement, timely economic data is critical. Drawing lessons from the 1992 cod moratorium—which caused massive job losses and out-migration—the report underscores the need for balanced decisions. It presents current demographic, employment, and production data to support informed discussions on economic opportunity and conservation.
